The GPSSBC receives and process a high number of dispute referrals throughout the country in all 9 provinces, 93 provincial departments, 34 national departments and 305 000 employees. Further, it has now jurisdiction on 50 TVET (Training Vocational Education and Training – former FET) Colleges’ support staff and lecturers, under the National Department of Higher Education and Training.

The Resident Panellist Unit (RPU) receives these dispute referrals which must be captured and relevant case numbers generated.  These referrals must then be submitted for screening.

• Screening of all referrals for conciliation and arbitration

• Processing of Condonation Application

• Processing of the Joinder Application
